How to choose the best vinyl fabric for Pergola and Screens | Sunair Awnings

FABRIC FOR PERGOLA® AWNINGS:

If you are needing a pergola® awning the best fabric to use is Ferrari 602 or 502 vinyl.  These fabrics are made with precontraint technology so stretch is minimal.  These fabrics are opaque and also water proof.

Ferrari 602 is available in two (2) colors White and Ivory and will be standard cost.

Ferrari 502 is available in many colors and will be an upcharge.

Note:  Acrylic fabric can be used for pergola wnings but only with LOOSE fabric and for use in sun only.  Acrylic fabric can NOT be used for rain protection

FABRIC FOR SC4500 Zipper screens with windows

If you are needing SC4500 zipper screens with windowes, the best fabric to use is Ferrri 502.  These fabrics are made with precontraint technology so stretch is minimal.  These fabrics are opaque and also water proof.  Ferrri 602 can be used buut it is heavier and thicker, so best to use 502

FABRIC FOR Canopies

The two standard fabrics we recommend for canopies are Patio 500 and Weblon CP where performance is needed at an economical cost.  These two fabrics can be used on staple in aluminum framed canopies, and also on lace on steel frames.  Both fabrics accept painted on graphics, but only WEblon CP can accept  "stick on" graphics or lettering well.  Both fabrics can be sewn or  welded / heat sealed in the seams

Ferrari 502 and Sattler 745 Vinyl are great fabrics to use for staple in canopies too but are a bit more costly .  Both stick on graphics and pai9nted graphics will work well on these fabrics.  Because ogf the precontraint technology and min imal stretch of these two fabrics, they are not ideal as lace on type fabrics.
